DEVORS Top 5 UFC Fights of 2019!

Today, we’re counting down the top 5 fights in the UFC of 2019. It was a crazy year in the world of MMA, with a lot of controversies, upsets, and surprises.

5. Cody Garbrandt vs Pedro Munhoz at UFC 235

Munhoz knocked out Garbrandt at 4:52 of Round 1. Everyone expected Garbrandt to make easy work of Munhoz, but the surprise was this knockout at the end of Round 1.

4. Donald Cerrone vs Alexander Hernandez at UFC on ESPN + 1

This fight is interesting for not only being one of the top fights of the year, but also being on the preliminary card. It’s rare for a top fight of the year to not be a main card fight. Cerrone knocked out Hernandez at 3:43 of Round 2.

3. Bryan Barberena vs Vicente Luque at UFC on ESPN 1

Luque knocked out Barberena at 4:54 of Round 3. Luque was the heavy favorite in this one and did not disappoint.

2. Max Holloway vs Dustin Poirier II at UFC 236

Poirier defeated Holloway by 5 Round decision for the Interim Lightweight Championship. People expected Holloway to come home with the win on this one, but Poirier put on one hell of a performance and came away with the decision.

1. Kelvin Gastelum vs Israel Adesanya

Adesanya defeated Gastelum by 5 Round decision. The best way to describe is fight is that it was a matchup between two highly skilled fighters and was an all-out war. It was a chess match of skill, determination, and heart. Not many fights match up to that.
