Sad news today as it looks like the search for Aniah Blanchard may have come to a devastating end.

Revealed earlier today by the Lee, Ala. district attorney, human remains were found in a wooded area in Macon County, Alabama that are believed to belong to Walt Harris’s stepdaughter.

Brandon Hughes, Lee, Alabama District Attorney, according to the Associated Press, made the following statement. “I can confirm that human remains have been found in Macon County on County Road 2 and we have good reason to believe they are that of Aniah Blanchard.”

Blanchard was seen last at a convenience store on Oct. 23 in Auburn, Ala. A witness states that he saw a man force Blanchard into a car and then drive away.

When the car was later found, it featured an amount of blood that was described as “indicating a life-threatening injury” had occurred.

Two men have since been arrested by police in connection to the kidnapping of Blanchard. Ibraheem Yazeed, 29, has been identified as the man forcing Blanchard into a car at the convenience store. Antwain Shamar Fisher, 35, was arrested for allegedly helping Yazeed in the disposal of evidence and providing transport.

Auburn Police further said Monday that investigators “obtained information regarding the possible location of a body.” That area was searched and they then discovered the remains just a few feet into a wooded area.

“A complete investigation is under way by (the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency) and Auburn Police to determine the identity and how the victim came to be at that location,” Auburn police said.

“The examination will explore if the remains are those of Aniah Blanchard.”

Until definite confirmation has been made, we will all here at Pure Evil MMA be thinking of Walt Harris and the other members of Blanchard’s family.
