The “Ironman” Of MMA, Travis Fulton

Travis Fulton is one of the biggest unknown legends in the sport of MMA. To this day he holds a professional record of 257-54-10. Racking up 321 pro fights in a span of 23 years. Witch is an average of about 14 fights per year. Despite his lengthy MMA career, Fulton was never able to get into the UFC.

Winning Streaks

In Fulton’s 23 year career he has accumulated 4 massive winning streaks. The first one was a 12 fight winning streak. It took place in the year 2002 on the regional MMA circuit. After a few back and forth years he got back on his winning ways. Earning a 24 fight winning streak from March 2004 to April of 2005. In 2005 Mike Whitehead interrupted what would have been the longest winning streak in the history of sports. After his one loss to Whitehead, Fulton went on another 40 fight win streak between 2005 and 2007. Somehow this is not where his winning streaks end. He then managed to rack up a 28 fight win streak between 2008 and 2010.

Talent Of Opponents

Although Fulton never made it to the UFC, he has fought many UFC caliber fighters in his career. Not to mention the 47 year old badass is still competing. His last fight was a submission win over Shannon Ritch in April of 2019. He also holds two wins over Jonathan Ivey, who has almost 100 pro MMA fights. In his 23 year career he has fought high level fighters such as, Jeff Monson, Sergey Spivak, Andrei Arlovski, Ricco Rodríguez, Ben Rothwell x2, Joe Riggs, Jermey Horn x3, Forrest Griffey, Dan Severn x3, Rich Franklin, Evan Tanner, Heath Herring, Pete Williams, And finally Matt Lindland.

With all the attention going to Fedor Emelianenko not signing with the UFC, it looks like Travis Fulton was the forgotten man. Even threw adversity and 300+ fights Fulton is still pushing to do what he loves. Marking himself the king of underground MMA.
