Fighting the Unknown

Getting questionable bloodwork back does nothing good for the psyche, so while that’s on my mind, I got to thinking about how many times fighters deal with unknowns. There’s the outcome of a fight—where nothing is ever guaranteed. There’s the outcome of a surgery to correct an injury—again, never guaranteed.

Life is full of guesses. Statistics lean toward possible outcomes to give you hope. But, no one can say 100%, that anything is for sure

So, how do you deal with it when life throws you a curveball. Well, the first thing is to make sure you have all the information. Something that may seem big now may turn out to be not that big of a deal. So, stressing yourself out to the point where you lose sleep when you don’t know what’s going to happen is pointless.

You might as well wait until your doctor tells you what’s going on with you. Or wait until you are in the middle of the fight where you’ll have a better standpoint on knowing how to handle it.

So, keep that in mind in all parts of your life. Make sure you have all the information before you act. You’ll feel better for it.
