Phil Baroni Is Back

The New York Bad Ass will return to action on July 13th for the promotion “Gorilla Fighting Championship”. He will be facing off against Shamil Zavurov.

Baroni was last seen in MMA on May 4th 2018 when he knocked out Matt Lagler in King Of The Cage. His last fight before that was a loss to Karo Parisyan in Bellator way back in 2014. The last time we seen Baroni in action though, it was in bare knuckle boxing. Where he got knocked out by fellow UFC vet, Chris Leben. This fight took place in November of 2018. Phil holds a 16-18 pro MMA record fighting in all the top MMA promotions such as the UFC, Bellator, Strikeforce, Pride, and ONE FC.

Zavurov on the other hand has a 34-5 MMA record, last fighting in March of this year. He is also currently riding a 6 fight win streak that dates back to 2016. He has notable wins over Ronys Torres, Leo Kuntz, and Tom Gallicchio.

GFC 14 will take place in Dagestan on July 13th. This fight will be held at welterweight. With both fighters making their respected returns to 170. Baroni fighting previously at middleweight, and Zavurov previously fighting at Lightweight.
