James Vick vs. Dan Hooker Set for UFC San Antonio

It was announced today that James Vick and Dan Hooker will return to action in San Antonio. Both fighters looking to get back in the win column after losing their last fights.

We last seen Hooker in December of this past year when he lost via KO to Edson Barboza. He holds a 17-8 pro MMA record with all of his wins being finishes except one. He is 7-4 in the UFC , beating the likes of Ross Pearson, Jim Miller, and Gilbert Burns. Before his fight with Barboza his last loss was to Jason Knight in November of 2016.

Vick is currently on a 2 fight losing streak, the latest one being a decision loss to Paul Felder back in February. He holds a 13-3 pro MMA record with his only losses coming to Felder, Justin Gaethje, and Beneil Dariush. He holds wins over Francisco Trinaldo, Joe Duffy, and Polo Reyes. 8 out of 13 of his wins are by finish and 2 out of his 3 losses come by knock out.

With both fighters taking some time off (Hooker-6 months and Vick 4 months) it will be interesting to see what they bring to the table. Both guys needing wins especially Vick, who runs the risk of going on a three fight losing streak.

UFC on ESPN 4 will take place on July 20th in San Antonio, Texas. This card also features a well anticipated bout between Juan Adams and Greg Hardy.
