Just two days ago , Uriah Faber announced he is coming out of retirement and had already signed a bout agreement. Today fans learned that the bout agreement was to fight Ricky Simón in his hometown of Sacramento, California.

Faber’s “retirement” fight was December of 2016 in Sacramento. When he got a decision win over Brad Pickett. The 40 year old MMA veteran has accumulated a 34-10 MMA record with 19 wins coming by submission. Also worth noting that Faber has never been submitted in his pro career.

Simón is a rising star who is currently on a 8 fight win streak, with three of those wins coming inside the UFC. He has defeated Montez Jackson and submission specialist, Rani Yahya. He holds a 14-1 pro record with his one loss coming to Anderson Dos Santos by submission back in March of 2016.

UFC Sacramento will take place of July 13th at the Golden 1 center. A main event has yet to be decided on. Faber’s comeback could be what they need to fill that main event slot.
