Aleksei Oleinik vs. Walt Harris set for UFC San Antonio

Many fights were announced today including Walt Harris taking on Aleksei Oleinik for July 20th, in San Antonio, Texas.

Oleinik was last seen back In late April when he was knocked out by Alistair Overeem. He holds a 57-12 pro MMA record. With 45 submissions and 8 knockouts. He has been fighting for over 20 years with a MMA career that dates back to 1996. He is currently a 4th degree black belt in Jiu Jitsu.

Harris’ last fight was earlier this month on May 4th. When he knocked out Sergey Spivik. He holds a 12-7-1 MMA record. His no contest came from his win over Andrei Arlovski, when he tested positive for a PED. Earlier this week he was taken out of the top 15 of the division. Witch made many fans speculate that he may have tested positive in another test. Low and behold a few days later he will take on Oleinik. All of his 12 wins are via knockout. The only other note able submission player that Harris has fought was Fabricio Werdum. He lost that fight via arm bar in the first round.

This matchup is a clash of styles in the submission game of Oleinik, and the knockout power of Harris. This fight can be seen on ESPN+ on July 20th at the AT&T center.
