Luis Peña makes a quick turn around back to the octagon. After his decision win over Steven Peterson in late March , he draws Matt Wiman for UFC Greenville on June 22.
Peña holds a 6-1 pro record with a 2-1 record inside the UFC. His only loss coming to fellow TUF contestant Michael Trizano in a controversial decision.
UFC vet Matt Wiman will be making his return to the octagon after a 5 year layoff. His last fight being a decision win over Isaac Vallie-Flagg in November of 2014. He holds a 16-7 pro record being 10-5 in the UFC. The 35 year old’s first fight with the UFC being more then a decade ago in 2006.
This will be the first time we see Peña take on a tested veteran. Steven Peterson in his last fight was a 3 fight veteran of the UFC, but that is the most experience we have seen him up against. Granted his opponent has not fought in half a decade, it will still be a huge step in young Peña’s career.
