The UFC recently announced that they will be making their return to Abu Dhabi. They will hold UFC 242 there. It is also rumored that Khabib will return on that card to fight Poirier. With their return they ink a 5 year deal that says they will hold an event their once a year for the next 5 years. Abu Dhabi was not the only city to receive good news though.
The UFC also announces that on July 13th they will return to Sacramento, CA. In August they head to Uruguay. In September, they have announced the Netherlands. Seems very likely that Overeem may be the main event there. They also will be back in Sao Paulo Brazil in November for their anniversary card.
October 6th is will be UFC 243 and will be held in Sydney, Australia. Likely to be headlined by middleweight unifying fight between Adesanya and Whittaker.
Ariel Helwani also made a cryptic tweet that said the UFC has news coming to a city in Texas as well. Dana White has said repeatedly that in the next five years the UFC will be doing some amazing things. Inking this deal with Abu Dhabi is definitely a step toward that goal. It seems that the UFC will be branching out again and going to nicer and more exotic countries. Along with new US cities, as we see on June 22. When the UFC will be in South Carolina for the first time in Greenville.
