Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport Presents Frank Mir vs. Dan Severn
Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport is defined as a hybrid between MMA and pro wrestling. Going back to the old days of Pride, where some fights were rumored to have been fixed, it was a similar format to Bloodsport. A mixed event with some of the results being pre determined, while others were live and in action.
Barnett recently released a statement saying that at his upcoming event, UFC legends, Frank Mir and Dan Severn will go head to head.
The most interesting factor to this fight will be weather or not it is fixed. Severn is 60 years old with almost 130 pro MMA fights under his belt. His last fight took place 7 years ago in 2012. For his health sake we would hope he wouldn’t be really fighting against Frank Mir.
Mir is currently on a 4 fight losing streak in his career. His pro career holds a record of 18-13. Frank Mir is 21 years younger then Severn at age 39.
This “fight” will take place on April 4th in Newark New Jersey. Hosted by Josh Barnett, while Barnett himself will also be competing. The card will also see such names as Tom Lawlor.
